Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ)
TCEQ acts as an information clearinghouse by matching referrals to organizations and companies or individuals who need environmental services. The TCEQ is the environmental agency for the state. The TCEQ has approximately 3,000 employees, 16 regional offices, and a $466 million operating budget for the 2011 fiscal year (including both baseline and contingency appropriations).
